EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., Oct. 2 -- MTS Systems Corporation, a leading global supplier of high-performance test systems and position sensors, announced its release of the next generation of MTS Echo Software. The software gives MTS customers the ability to remotely monitor equipment activity throughout their lab from anywhere.
Released in 2012, MTS Echo enables customers to view the real-time status of equipment through any web-enabled device—smartphone, laptop or tablet. Echo provides lab managers with more tools to increase lab productivity by reducing test equipment downtime. With 24/7 access to test status information that can be remotely accessed, MTS Echo gives customers the ability to manage lab activity even when they are not on-site.
"MTS Echo is an excellent example of what we are doing to help our customers solve their business problems that goes beyond the test equipment itself," said Dr. Rich Baker, General Manager of MTS Test. "Echo gives customers greater visibility into the status of their local and global lab operations which helps them increase productivity and reduce downtime. Leading-edge tools like MTS Echo create an exciting future where systems and people work together to achieve operational efficiency in the lab that is unrealized today."
In this latest release, MTS Echo is compatible with a wider range of the company's products, including a broad range of MTS load frames, controllers and hydraulic power units and has been integrated with MTS TestSuite Software, permitting powerful monitoring capability of test status. Additionally, this release introduces an MTS native mobile application for Android and Apple iOS. This application provides users with real-time test equipment activity updates including a timeline feed that can be customized based on the users' needs.
"The industries we serve are changing quickly, driven in part by globalization trends. MTS Echo provides powerful tools for lab managers to stay up-to-date on lab activity, improve productivity, and share information throughout their increasingly global organizations. We are excited that we continue to make progress toward offering our customers a connected lab solution," said MTS President and CEO, Dr. Jeffrey Graves.
