ANDOVER, Mass., June 12 -- RAID Incorporated, an end-to-end customized solutions provider in HPC, Big Data, and Virtualized Environments, today launches its newest ultra-dense, high performance solution, the 4U 60-Bay Ability Storage Server, designed for Cloud, Windows Server 2012, and various I/O server and ZFS applications.
Powered by the Intel Xeon processor E5-2600 product family, the server nodes provide advanced capabilities to retrieve data from 60 full-height drives and protect against data loss in the event of power faults using an optional backup battery pack. A nontransparent bus allows bridging of two server nodes for redundancy or computational expansion when running Linux. A dual slot expansion card further enables users to use a variety of PCI E cards, including RAID SAS and network cards, and the onboard SAS controller provides bridging fabric between the processors and the storage.
