CAMPBELL, Calif., — Rainmaker Systems, Inc., a leading global cloud e-Commerce company, announced today that Penguin Computing has selected Rainmaker's GrowCommerce platform to deploy their Penguin Direct store-front.
Penguin Computing chose Rainmaker Systems to assist them with a strategic initiative to implement a B2B e-Commerce store-front aimed at targeting their SMB market. The Penguin Direct Store will offer select server based products, enhanced with a custom configurator tool to allow customers to tailor the product to their specific needs. Penguin Computing will utilize Rainmaker's Global Commerce Services agents to guide Penguin Direct visitors through the sales cycle via instant chat, over the phone and by email.
"Penguin selected Rainmaker because they were the only solution on the market that combined a fully functional e-Commerce platform with the added benefit of Global Customer Services agents to give our customers a true buying experience over the Internet," says George Oliva, Vice President of Supply Chain, GM e-Commerce at Penguin Computing.
"We are so pleased to have Penguin Computing as our newest GrowCommerce customer. Penguin wanted to create brand awareness and find the hidden revenue opportunity in their SMB market and chose Rainmaker due to our quick launch time, our short path to ROI, and the added benefit of our Global Commerce Services," said David Guercio, Rainmaker's Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
