Spectra's presence at conferences in eight countries include Backup Central Live Series, IBC, SNW Europe and SuperComputing
BOULDER, Colo., September 20 -- Spectra Logic, celebrating more than 30 years of data storage innovation, today announced it will be participating in a number of industry events this fall worldwide, including the Backup Central Live series taking place in various cities throughout the United States; SNW Europe in Frankfurt, Germany; and SuperComputing's SC11 in Seattle, Wash. Spectra Logic will exhibit at each event, and speak on timely storage topics at the SC11 and SNW Europe events.
Members of Spectra Logic's product marketing team will present and exhibit at the Backup Central Live event series, hosted by widely-recognized industry analyst W. Curtis Preston. The events are taking place Oct. 6 in Phoenix, Ariz. and Oct. 18 in Los Angeles, Calif.
Spectra Logic is participating in two major shows in Europe. The first is TechNet International, taking place from Oct. 19-21 in Heidelberg, Germany. The second show is SNW Europe from Nov. 2-3 at the Congress Center in Frankfurt, Germany. Spectra will showcase its backup and archive solutions at IBC and demonstrate the capabilities of its full range of tape libraries, including a 3-frame Spectra T-Finity, T950, T200 and T50e tape library.
For the fourth year in a row, Spectra Logic will participate in SuperComputing, taking place Nov. 14-17 at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, Wash. (booth 2904). Spectra will be conducting social media contests with giveaways and a grand prize drawing at the show. Molly Rector, Spectra's chief marketing officer, will participate in a 'birds of a feather' panel discussion on the topic of cloud storage, along with Brandon Canaday from Dell and Jerry Shoopman from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories. Rector will also present at the exhibitor's forum.
Spectra Logic is exhibiting at several additional conferences in the U.S., including: Storage Decisions Sept. 19-20 in New York City, N.Y. and Nov. 18 in San Francisco, Calif.; HD World Oct. 12-13 in New York, N.Y. (booth 1237); GEOINT Symposium Oct. 16-19 in San Antonio, Texas (booth 1218); Storage Decisions National System for Geospatial Intelligence Summit on Nov. 1 in Washington, D.C.; TechNet Asia Pacific Nov. 1-3 in Honolulu, Hawaii (booth 68); and the Large Installation System Administration Conference (LISA) Dec. 4-9 in Boston, Mass.
Spectra Logic is continuing to expand its global reach by participating in a series of international conferences: International Federation of Television Archives (FIAT/IFTA) Sept. 28-Oct. 2 in Turin, Italy; IDC's HPC International Meeting Oct. 3-4 in Paris, France and Oct. 6-7 in Stuttgart, Germany; the IP Expo Oct. 19-20 in London, United Kingdom (booth G13); and at Broadcast India Oct. 20-22 in Mumbai, India.
Additionally, one of Spectra Logic's senior product managers will present on timely storage topic at a trade show this fall. Chris Marsh will discuss tape's role in the cloud at the SNIA Storage Developer Conference Sept. 19-22 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Santa Clara, Calif.
Spectra will promote the events by conducting social media contests with giveaways and offering grand prize drawings at several shows via Facebook and Twitter.
