May 26, 2011
May 26 -- ISC is widely recognized as one of the premier global marketplaces for innovative ideas and breaking news. That could be one reason why advance registration for ISC'11 is 26 percent ahead of last year's record pace, and has set an all-time record for the 26-year-old-conference and exhibition. ISC'11 will doubtlessly be the most successful HPC event! Besides, with a comprehensive technical program you can't afford NOT to join us in Hamburg.
A way to keep track of important happenings at ISC'11 is to use the ISC Agenda Planner, which allows you to sift through the extensive conference program and select those must-attend sessions to create your own personalized schedule.
2011 Exhibition: Bigger than Ever!
ISC'11 will be the most extensive and dynamic exhibition ever. One key indicator is the participation of 40 new industrial and research exhibitors, joining our long-time lineup of exhibitors. Also new this year, six HPC start-ups will be making their debut at ISC'11. The most up-to-date exhibitor list, including company profiles, can be found here.
The exhibition will be open June 20–22 to all Conference and Exhibition passport holders. All visitors are welcome to attend the Hot Seat Sessions, the Exhibitor and Start-up Forums, the ISC 26th Welcome Party and all contributed sessions.
Learn the Latest at the Exhibitor Forum
The Exhibitor Forum sessions on Tuesday, June 21, and Wednesday, June 22, will cover the latest developments in HPC, from new products and upgrades to recent research and results to future plans and system roadmaps.
New this year, customers will present case studies on how they achieved better performance, reduced time-to-market, improved reliability or enhanced capabilities by using exhibitors' technologies.
Whatever your interest, the Exhibitor Forum provides a venue to learn what's happening today and tomorrow. At ISC'11, 36 sessions are scheduled and are open to everyone.
Six HPC Start-Ups at ISC'11
ISC'11 is excited to introduce six HPC start-up firms -- Oxalya, Symmetric Computing, Green Revolution Cooling, ET International, Amplidata and Whamcloud -- to around 2,300 attendees at this year's exhibition. Each firm will be presenting their area of expertise in the Start-Up Forum on Tuesday June 21, and Wednesday June 22, in the exhibition hall.
Topics include HPC infrastructure and solutions, cooling systems for datacenters, software solutions for many-core computing, storage solutions and Lustre support service for HPC storage systems.
Exhibition Highlight – InfiniBand Demo
The HPC Advisory Council, together with ISC, will organize the world's first large-scale demonstration of next-generation InfiniBand technology. Displayed for the very first time, the demonstration will showcase the capabilities and advantages of the new InfiniBand technology, while highlighting high-visualization applications that can benefit from the new InfiniBand capabilities to deliver the next phase for engineering and research. The demonstration will be conducted across the exhibition floor and organizations interested in participating are encouraged to contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Book Now to Secure Your Space for the ISC'12 Exhibition
Even though the 151 exhibitors in the ISC'11 exhibition have yet to arrive, it's time to look ahead to next year. ISC'12 will again be held at the Congress Center Hamburg, from June 17–21, 2012, and we fully expect about 2,500 attendees. The schedule will be similar to ISC'11. A variety of workshops and tutorial sessions will take place on Sunday, June 17, with the main conference and exhibition starting on Monday, June 18.
The exhibition will again be held over two and a half days, ending Wednesday evening BUT on a bigger show floor. Research and industrial booths will be intermixed, allowing attendees to see the newest technologies, as well as how world-class researchers are using them. View the new floor plan.
Based on past experience, we can tell you that 75 percent of the hottest booths will be reserved even before this year's exhibition kicks off. We encourage you to book yours very soon by getting in touch with our customer managers: Krasimira Todorova at email@example.com and Nages Sieslack at firstname.lastname@example.org.
