Dec. 15 -- PRACE, the Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe, has produced 48 hours of HPC (high performance computing) training videos that can be downloaded free of charge.
The material for the videos was shot at four PRACE code-porting workshops: a workshop on application porting and performance tuning at CSC, Finland (June 2009) and a Cray XT5 code-porting workshop at CSCS, Switzerland (July 2009), NEC and BlueGene code-porting work shop at Cyfronet in Poland (October (2009) and IBM Cell code-porting work shop at BSC in Spain (October 2009).
Also PRACE has published 69 presentations that were held at two PRACE schools and at six workshops. The recent workshop was held in Stockholm, Dec. 7-10.

The Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe (PRACE) prepares the creation of a persistent pan-European HPC service, consisting of several tier-0 centres providing European researchers with access to capability computers and forming the top level of the European HPC ecosystem.
