"Building The World's Fastest Trading Network" -- Keynote lunch panel with BLADE Network Technologies, NYSE Euronext, TABB Group and A-Team at High Performance Computing on Wall Street, Sept. 14 in New York
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 11 -- Vikram Mehta, president and CEO of BLADE Network Technologies Inc. (BLADE), the trusted leader in datacenter networking, will address "Building the World's Fastest Trading Network," with Stanley Young, CEO of NYSE Technologies and Co-Global CIO of NYSE Euronext, Kevin McPartland, senior analyst of the TABB Group, and Pete Harris (moderator) conference program director and president of A-Team Group, at the 2009 High Performance Computing on Wall Street. This event and keynote lunch panel will take place on Monday, Sept. 14, at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City. This special panel will focus on how a wide area, high-speed, low-latency communications network equipped with ultra-fast 10 Gigabit Ethernet supports advanced trading strategies.
The panel will cover topics including:
"Fast trading networks bring vast value to the global investment community," said Vikram Mehta, president and CEO of BLADE Network Technologies. "To explore the impact of very high-speed networks on Wall Street, and the future of fast networks in a datacenter revolution, we welcome media and analysts to attend this special lunch panel at High Performance Computing on Wall Street."
"Datacenter innovation is beneficial for the financial services industry as a whole, which is seeking to meet evolving global customer demands and expectations," said Stanley Young, CEO of NYSE Technologies and Co-Global CIO of NYSE Euronext. "As the operators of the SFTI platform and given our own investment in two state-of-the-art datacenters, we welcome the increasing speed and reliability provided by today's essential datacenter infrastructure and networking technologies."
"A growing number of successful trading strategies are highly dependent on ultra-low latency technology," said Kevin McPartland, senior analyst at TABB Group, the New York- and London-based capital markets research and consulting firm. "Success is based on delivering information to your algorithms, making trading decisions microseconds faster than your competitors. This can only be accomplished by optimizing every aspect of the trading infrastructure, from routers and servers, to software."
