CUPERTINO, Calif., June 17 -- ScaleMP Inc., the leader in virtualization for high-end computing, today announced the company's participation at the International Supercomputing Conference (ISC) 2009 in Hamburg, Germany, June 23-26, 2009. ScaleMP will demonstrate the vSMP Foundation software at its own booth (booth #441) as well as at the Dell and Mellanox booths. The demo will feature the recently announced Intel Xeon processor 5500 series (Nehalem).
Shai Fultheim, CEO and Founder of ScaleMP, will also be speaking at the conference on Wednesday, June 24th, at 12:00 noon. The talk will discuss a fundamental paradigm shift for high-performance computing (HPC) by combining a software-based computing architecture utilizing virtualization and low-latency interconnects with standard x86 systems. The session will feature Christian Terboven of RWTH Aachen University, a user of ScaleMP's products, who will speak about his experience with vSMP Foundation and its performance.
ScaleMP is the leader in virtualization for high-end computing, providing maximum performance and lower total cost of ownership (TCO). The innovative Versatile SMP (vSMP) architecture aggregates multiple x86 systems into a single virtual x86 system, delivering an industry-standard, high-end symmetric multiprocessor (SMP) computer. Using software to replace custom hardware and components, ScaleMP offers a new, revolutionary computing paradigm. The company is backed by Sequoia Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners, TL Ventures, and ABS Ventures. For more information, please call +1 (408) 342-0330 or visit www.ScaleMP.com.
