TULSA, Okla., and NEW HAVEN, Conn., Dec. 8 -- As part of its ongoing plans and efforts to enable the use of the R language within STATISTICA, StatSoft has certified REvolution R as compatible with the STATISTICA software platform.
R is a language for statistical computing and graphics. It is open-source software used in practically every graduate-level statistics course. STATISTICA leverages R to assist customers who need access to the existing vast selection of specialized statistical procedures written in R. REvolution Computing offers open source products and solutions for analytics, including REvolution R which is an optimized, validated, and supported distribution of R.
R support in STATISTICA was designed to create an integrated STATISTICA-R platform that will enable users to run R programs ("scripts") directly inside the STATISTICA or WebSTATISTICA platforms, so that STATISTICA users can take full advantage of the specialized capabilities available in R. The environment for running R scripts inside STATISTICA was specifically designed to:
The STATISTICA Suite of Data Analysis Applications provides the most comprehensive collection of advanced analytical and data visualization tools (with more than 15,000 externally callable functions). The software is fully Web enabled, offers a selection of user interfaces, quick integration with virtually all database platforms, and is built upon an open, easily expandable architecture. STATISTICA has received the highest rating in EVERY independent comparative review in which it has been featured since its first release in 1993.
