Nov. 17 -- The Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG), developer of world class mathematical, statistical and visualization software components will be presented with a special accolade for 20 consecutive exhibits at the world's largest show dedicated to high performance computing (HPC) at SC08.
NAG is one of a handful of organizations out of thousands that have attended the event in the last 20 years that will be recognized in this way. To achieve such longevity in an industry which moves faster than any other on the planet reflects NAG's long term commitment to continually evolving its world-class numerical algorithm libraries for HPC together with a globally-renowned HPC service.
NAG's expert capabilities in HPC include offering highly tuned subsets of its core product, the NAG library, which enables faster application development and more accurate results plus a dedicated team of computational and numerical experts for external collaborations and projects. NAG's most recent notable commitment to HPC is being an official partner to the UK's national supercomputing project HECToR (High End Computing Terascale Resource), providing Computational Science and Engineering (CSE).
The SC08 Committee Chair will be presenting NAG with this accolade by way of a 10 minute presentation at this years' show, taking place in Austin Texas, Nov 17th at 17.10. Also at the event, Andrew Jones, VP of HPC Business at NAG, will be presenting "How Engineering and Science of Computation Provides a Better Return from HPC." Other members of NAG's highly experienced technical and commercial team will be available at Booth 1621.
The Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG) is dedicated to making world-class cross-platform mathematical, statistical, data mining components and tools for developers as well as 3D visualization application development environments. NAG serves it customers from offices in Oxford, Chicago and Tokyo supporting over 10,000 customer sites worldwide in finance, engineering, and scientific research. NAG software is the choice of over 25 independent software vendors including Oracle, IBM, DemandTec and many others.

10/30/2013 | Cray, DDN, Mellanox, NetApp, ScaleMP, Supermicro, Xyratex | Creating data is easy… the challenge is getting it to the right place to make use of it. This paper discusses fresh solutions that can directly increase I/O efficiency, and the applications of these solutions to current, and new technology infrastructures.
10/01/2013 | IBM | A new trend is developing in the HPC space that is also affecting enterprise computing productivity with the arrival of “ultra-dense” hyper-scale servers.
Ken Claffey, SVP and General Manager at Xyratex, presents ClusterStor at the Vendor Showdown at ISC13 in Leipzig, Germany.
Join HPCwire Editor Nicole Hemsoth and Dr. David Bader from Georgia Tech as they take center stage on opening night at Atlanta's first Big Data Kick Off Week, filmed in front of a live audience. Nicole and David look at the evolution of HPC, today's big data challenges, discuss real world solutions, and reveal their predictions. Exactly what does the future holds for HPC?
