ASHBURN, Va., July 22 -- Latisys, a leading provider of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions spanning data center colocation, managed hosting, cloud and hybrid infrastructure, today announced an agreement with Fishbowl -- the leading provider of performance based marketing products and services to the restaurant industry.
Under terms of the multi-year agreement, Latisys is providing Fishbowl with a hybrid of colocation and managed hosting to underpin Fishbowl's critical online business services and applications.
Headquartered in Alexandria, Va., Fishbowl provides products and services that enable some of the world's largest restaurant chains, as well as independent restaurants, to drive sales through guest acquisition, guest engagement, and guest analytics. Fishbowl supports over 45,000 restaurant locations and manages the industry's largest guest database, with over 110 million opt-in members.
"Our rapid business growth, combined with the IT-intensive nature of our online services, necessitated a complete outsourced IaaS environment," said Andrew McCasker, Chief Technology Officer of Fishbowl. "Latisys worked closely with us to deliver a flexible, hybrid solution that meets our stringent requirements and supports our growth. We rely on Latisys as an extension of our team."
This hybrid solution is delivered via Latisys' high density SOC 2 / SOC 3 audited data center in Ashburn, Va. and a national hosting and cloud platform that consists of proven technologies from HP, Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, Juniper, Cisco and F5. In addition to colocation, the managed portion of the solution includes multiple VMware clusters, blended IP network services, load balancing, firewalls, and managed storage and backup services. Latisys is one of only a handful of IT outsourcing providers that can support enterprises whose complex, dynamic infrastructure requirements call for federation and right-sizing across multiple IaaS delivery platforms.
"Fishbowl is a very sophisticated restaurant marketing company and their industry-leading business relies on information and insight that is seamless and on-demand," said Pete Stevenson, CEO of Latisys. "We are thrilled to be their IT infrastructure partner and committed to providing highly flexible and scalable IaaS to support Fishbowl's accelerating growth."
Latisys' national expansion has been ongoing through 2012 and into 2013. Recent announcements include DEN-02 -- Latisys' newest state-of-the-art data center in Denver -- along with the ASH1 DC-05 and CHI-02 DC-05 data centers that added 22,000 and 10,000 sq. ft. of secure, ultra high-density raised floor in Northern Virginia and Chicago respectively. In Southern California, Latisys recently announced an additional 12,000 square feet in its Irvine, CA data center, making Latisys the largest data center operator in Orange County. Latisys' total data center platform now exceeds 343,000 square feet across seven data centers in four major markets.
