June 4 -- Organizers have announced two new keynote speakers who will be joining a highly qualified line-up at the 5th Annual Cloud World Forum; Oskar Stål, CTO at Spotify, and Adrian Gardner, CIO at NASA.
Spotify is a cloud based service that allows people to access a 15 million song library, develop their own customised playlists, share and download mp3 files. No matter where people are, Spotify’s 25 million users worldwide can access their customized playlists on cloud and download or share this data with other users.
As CTO of Spotify since November 2009, Oskar Stål leads the technology team, being directly responsible for operating their live service and for scaling up the infrastructure as the company keeps growing and establishing itself as the world’s largest music streaming online service.
Oskar became CTO at Spotify after a successful experience as Director of Development at mBlox, a company that went from being a five-person start-up to a global 100 million dollar business.
Oskar Stål’s presentation will be held in the Vision Theatre at the Cloud World Forum, on Day 2 (27th June) from 11:30am to 12:10pm.
NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) is the United States government agency which is responsible for science and technology related to air and space. NASA uses its own cloud service - called Nebula - which is an open-source cloud computing platform that emerged in 2008 out of NASA Ames Research Center.
Being the CIO of NASA, Adrian Gardner is responsible for providing the agency with information, infrastructure and tools to effectively and securely support management, science, research, and technology programs. He is also responsible for developing, implementing, and operating specialised IT systems to support NASA mission planning and operation; and for providing systems that disseminate information to the public and that preserve NASA’s information assets.
Adrian Gardner’s presentation will be held in the Vision Theatre at the Cloud World Forum, on Day 2 (27th June) from 10:00am to 10:40am.
The 5th Annual Cloud World Forum takes place on 26th-27th June at National Hall Olympia in London. If you would like to register for this event, please visit http://cloudwf.com/register.html or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
