Birst Announces Birst Solution Accelerator for NetSuite's SuiteCloud Computing Platform

SAN JOSE and SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., June 3 -- Birst Inc., the leader in Cloud BI, today announced the Birst Solution Accelerator for NetSuite, built using NetSuite's SuiteCloud Computing Platform. The new SuiteApp is a pre-built analytical solution that rapidly delivers advanced analytics with best practice financial reports and dashboards. The Birst Solution Accelerator for NetSuite integrates into NetSuite's enterprise resource planning (ERP) and SuiteCommerce applications to provide advanced analytic capabilities that are unavailable through standard reporting and analysis. With quick and easy access to enterprise-caliber business insight, users can now leverage data to speed decision-making and optimize business processes across their organizations.

NetSuite's SuiteCloud is a comprehensive offering of cloud-based products, development tools, and services designed to help customers and commercial software developers take advantage of the significant economic benefits of cloud computing. SuiteCloud Developer Tools provide a comprehensive cloud customization environment, whether you're extending NetSuite to fit your business needs or developing completely new applications. SuiteCloud Developer Tools include workflow management, scripting, analytics, web services and more.

"Business applications and business intelligence go hand-in-glove; the applications let us effectively execute our business processes while BI gives us the ability to manage and optimize them," said Brad Peters, CEO and Co-founder of Birst. "As more and more organizations rely on NetSuite for their ERP and ecommerce needs, our enterprise-caliber Cloud BI capabilities make Birst the obvious choice for NetSuite users looking to gain greater insight from the rich data within their transactional cloud applications."

Working with NetSuite
The Birst Solution Accelerator for NetSuite delivers best practice financial analytics via an out-of-the-box solution and fixed bid service engagement. NetSuite users benefit from tightly integrated, rapid-to-deploy advanced analytics that enable quick, easy access to information and analysis through automated report creation and delivery, eliminating the need to manually run reports. Additionally, the solution accelerator provides a foundation for integrating and combining NetSuite data with data from other applications. As organizations look outward from their ERP and ecommerce platform to other systems, Birst can bridge that gap.

The Birst Solution Accelerator for NetSuite capabilities include:

  • Single Sign On: Allows users to seamlessly integrate advanced analytics embedded directly within the NetSuite application;
  • A NetSuite Connector: Provides users with instant access to every single object within NetSuite, including custom objects, and the capability to make it analytic ready with data from other applications and sources;
  • Pre-built Reports: Gives users more than 20 off-the-shelf reports to quickly provide insight into common and specific business processes;
  • Pre-built Meta Data: Offers organizations an extensible analytics data model around the dimensions and measures best suited for NetSuite, making the need to manually create business meaning around their data a thing of the past; and
  • Fixed Cost Enablement: Allows businesses to deploy at a predetermined, set cost in less than 30 days.

"Together, NetSuite and Birst deliver unmatched value -- it is as simple as that. We had a pressing need to get a deep level of detail from our data. Birst allows us to quickly tap into that data, drill down to find out what we need, create solid reporting and manage all of it from one very easy-to-use dashboard," said Jeff Baldwin, Director of Business Operations, from Jive Software. "We started using Birst for its sales analytics, but quickly realized we could leverage it for our financial analytics as well. We are now able to get the insight we need into both sales and financial analytics and ultimately across other various business processes within our organization."

The NetSuite connector, pre-built reports and meta data are available at no extra cost with the Enterprise version of Birst. Fixed cost enablement is an additional charge.
