Sumo Logic Deployed by Apigee to Support Compliance Requirements

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., March 12 — Sumo Logic, the next-generation log management and analytics company, today announced that Apigee, the API company, has deployed Sumo Logic to aggregate, centralize and retain its infrastructure logs to meet regulatory compliance and to improve operational efficiency. The Apigee operations group also uses Sumo Logic's patented LogReduce technology to improve the rate and expediency of issue resolution, streamlining technical operations processes.

"Sumo Logic's analytics tell us what to look for rather than requiring us to comb through large amounts of data searching for potential issues," said Andrey Kolesnikov, head of operations at Apigee. "Having easy, intuitive access to correlated logging data has become a huge time saver, and gives us real operational efficiency and advantage well beyond the standard regulatory compliance we originally intended."

The elastic, cloud-based Sumo Logic solution allows Apigee to collect, store and access infrastructure and application logs in a single secure location. LogReduce condenses hundreds of thousands of result pages into a single page of meaningful patterns, allowing Apigee's operations and engineering groups to determine event recurrences and establish a baseline from which to drill down and perform real-time troubleshooting.

Sumo Logic helps enterprise IT professionals search, analyze, monitor, and visualize big data in real time, enabling application and infrastructure troubleshooting within data center, cloud and hybrid environments. As a native cloud solution, Sumo Logic eliminates the need for on-premise log management equipment and dedicated personnel, delivering a petabyte-scale platform that gives companies immediate access to valuable operational insights. With Sumo Logic, organizations benefit from rapid time-to-value and do away with expensive professional services and costly deployment models.

"Apigee is a great example of our focus to help IT teams generate real and rapid business value with the insights our analytics provide," stated Sumo Logic CEO Vance Loiselle. "PCI compliance, operational troubleshooting and expedited product development are just a few examples of how enterprises can unlock the value of their rapidly growing machine data."
