PALO ALTO, Calif. & MINNEAPOLIS, Minn., March 11 — WSO2 and Integrated Business IT Consultants (iBIT) today announced a strategic partnership to deliver agile application lifecycle solutions to small and medium business (SMB) clients.
WSO2 delivers the industry’s most comprehensive middleware platform for enabling service-oriented architecture (SOA) and composite application development and deployment on servers and in the cloud. iBIT provides innovative application solution delivery for the SMB market, providing cloud delivery models, managed services, and consulting. Through the partnership, WSO2 and iBIT will enable SMBs to gain the same strategic advantages as large enterprises in integrating information across the applications that drive their business.
Under terms of the agreement, iBIT will use WSO2’s open source middleware to provide SMB customers with integrated business applications delivered as software as a service (SaaS) in order to optimize their business processes and operational efficiencies. Additionally, WSO2 will provide iBIT with technical, sales and marketing support to promote SOA adoption and help customers achieve the high availability, high performance, and flexibility they require for IT and business agility.
WSO2’s award-winning software includes the cloud-enabled WSO2 Carbon enterprise middleware platform and Stratos 2.0 platform as a service (PaaS) foundation. All 13 Carbon middleware products offer full multi-tenancy and can run either directly on servers or in combination with WSO2 Stratos in the cloud. All WSO2 software products are released under the Apache License 2.0. World-class production support from WSO2 ensures that users can run mission-critical applications on the platforms with confidence.
“Traditionally, large enterprises with extensive IT resources have been able to gain significant insights, efficiencies and productivity by integrating their business applications into composite applications and gaining a consolidated view of their operations,” said iBIT President David Ching. “We are working to level that playing field for SMBs with our cloud-based application lifecycle solutions, and WSO2 is a strategic partner in this effort. With its flexible, scalable cloud-enabled architecture and open source licensing model, we view WSO2’s middleware as the ideal platform for bringing enterprise advantages to companies of all sizes via the cloud.”
“The cloud is a powerful, democratizing force—enabling SMBs to take advantage of enterprise applications to drive their innovation, efficiency and agility,” said WSO2 Vice President of Business Development Jonathan Marsh. “iBIT takes this value to a new level by combining proven approaches to application integration with a cost-effective SaaS delivery model to empower SMBs with more effective collaboration and informed decision-making. We are excited to join forces with iBIT in providing world-class software, support and services to successfully implement enterprise-class solutions that help SMBs compete in the global market.”
