CHICAGO, Ill., Feb. 12 – Global Capacity, the leading telecommunications information and logistics company, today announces its partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS), the global leader in cloud computing, to provide connectivity to AWS Direct Connect locations. Global Capacity has become a select member of the AWS Partner Network (APN), providing private network connections to Amazon Web Services (AWS) that can reduce network costs, increase throughput and deliver more consistent network performance than Internet-based connections.
AWS customers can take advantage of Global Capacity's One Marketplace Access Exchange, a competitive and leading multi-vendor automated access solution, to procure private, secure Ethernet connectivity between AWS Direct Connect locations and AWS customer data centers, offices, or colocation facilities, as well as assist in the design and implementation of unique and dynamic network environments.
"We are proud to join the AWS Partner Network and to support its efforts to increase network connectivity options," states Jack Lodge, President of Global Capacity. "Through our participation in the AWS program, Global Capacity can offer its network services to those customers requiring private access to the AWS cloud. Any customer interconnected to One Marketplace can now utilize Global Capacity network services to directly connect to AWS."
Global Capacity's One Marketplace offers automated pricing and procurement of optimal access networks. The marketplace provides transparency into access network pricing and visibility into available capacity across multiple vendors and geographies. One Marketplace also improves pricing and delivery efficiencies, and reduces the cost of access networks globally. By providing customers a single interface through which to design, price and fulfill multi-vendor, multi-geography access network requirements, One Marketplace dramatically simplifies and accelerates the delivery of data connectivity.
Ben Edmond, Chief Revenue Officer of Global Capacity, comments, "As the availability of scalable and secure cloud connectivity rises, more and more companies seek the benefits of cloud services. Global Capacity's partnership with AWS combines the most innovative access network solution and cloud services in the market today."
