CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Jan. 14 – ProfitBricks, the infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) company that completely reengineered the delivery of cloud computing, today announced its Referral Program, designed to positively impact the benefits for referral partnerships. The program is currently unmatched, offering as much as 25 percent of a customer's net revenue as compensation. ProfitBricks is also opening up its early-stage reseller program by inviting select Value Added Resellers (VARs) to work with the cloud computing provider.
The ProfitBricks Referral Program is aimed at developers, IT consultants, system integrators, independent software vendors and even well-connected technology influencers looking for recurring revenue streams from a next-generation cloud provider.
"We are seeing high growth in services related to the cloud while knowledge and labor pools remain tight," said John Bostick, president of dbaDIRECT, a select referral partner of ProfitBricks. "As cloud computing expands on platforms like ProfitBricks' Virtual Data Centers -- we are pleased to assist in the deployments and ongoing management of these environments."
In addition to its Referral Program, ProfitBricks is currently developing a reseller program that will offer similar benefits and is currently enrolling early VARs interested in offering next-generation cloud computing services.
Lucrative Referral Bonus For Early Action
Qualified referral partners can earn as much as 25 percent of ProfitBricks' net revenue on customers when they refer a sales lead that signs up by March 31, 2013. For customers who sign between April 1 and June 30, the referral bonus is 20 percent of net revenue. In all cases, compensation will continue for the length of the customer contract up to a full three years.
"ProfitBricks is about changing the way that business is done, not only from the cloud computing perspective, but also with our partners," said ProfitBricks USA CEO Bob Rizika. "This is why we were often included as a top startup to watch in 2012. As we enter 2013 we will continue to show the technology world what makes us so different."
"We believe the ProfitBricks Referral Program offers referral partners the most lucrative option for selling cloud services," said VP of Business Development at ProfitBricks Scott Brazina. "We want a chance to prove ourselves to the channel, ISVs, Telecoms, startups and other organizations with IaaS needs. This kind of program demonstrates our commitment to the channel."
"Today nearly all technology startups have a cloud computing foundation, and flexible, scalable and affordable cloud services from ProfitBricks are perfectly aligned with the needs of our startup community," said Johan de Borst, founder of Find Boomer, a ProfitBricks referral partner. "ProfitBricks' cloud computing platform has the least effort setup and maintenance and offers the most value of any cloud service provider we looked at."
Unmatched Cloud Computing Performance
An independent test conducted by Cloud Spectator showed that ProfitBricks outperformed both Amazon EC2 with 227 percent greater UnixBench score and the Rackspace Cloud with 194 percent faster I/O. ProfitBricks consistently ranks as the top price-performance leader in the cloud computing space.
InfiniBand: Bringing Supercomputing Technology to Cloud Computing
Among many new technology firsts, ProfitBricks introduced an InfiniBand backed network to cloud computing, the same technology used in high performance computing environments (HPC). This provides the ProfitBricks cloud architecture with up to 80 Gbit/s private network speed, more than eight times the available speed from any other cloud provider.
ProfitBricks - Cloud Computing Accelerated - is the cloud infrastructure as a service (IaaS) company offering more speed and flexibility than any other cloud provider. Founded in 2010 by the previous co-founders of 1&1 AG, ProfitBricks has built the world's first, true virtual datacenter, enabling users custom defined instances with live vertical scaling and class-leading double redundant cloud storage -- all with simple and transparent minute-based billing. It also developed the first graphical Data Center Designer that makes the ProfitBricks Cloud Computing service the easiest to setup and maintain. CRN Magazine recently picked ProfitBricks as the "Coolest Startup" of 2012.
