GroundWork Cloud Hub tackles unique problems of IT operations management in hybrid, multi-cloud and virtualized environments
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 10 — GroundWork Inc., (http://www.gwos.com) the leading open platform for network, application and cloud monitoring, announced today GroundWork Monitor Enterprise 6.7. The latest version of GroundWork's flagship product includes the new GroundWork Cloud Hub, providing enhanced monitoring for Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization and its integrated Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) hypervisor and VMware vSphere.
"Traditional approaches to IT monitoring and management often break in multiple ways in cloud and virtualized environments, and often from platform to platform," said David Dennis, VP of Marketing & Business Development for GroundWork. "GroundWork Cloud Hub addresses the issues by acting as a universal translator and aggregator from multiple cloud and virtualization APIs. It can discover virtual instances and run multiple copies independently from the GroundWork Monitor server, to allow for greater scalability and topological flexibility."
GroundWork Cloud Hub offers the following:
"As Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization gains enterprise adoption, the increasingly dynamic nature of IT infrastructure requires smarter monitoring tools to keep up with the rapid pace of change," said Geert Jansen, senior product marketing manager, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization at Red Hat. "The new GroundWork Cloud Hub is a powerful solution for Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization. It monitors hybrid virtualization and cloud environments by providing the rapid performance and event management data needed for dynamic service monitoring. And its flexible, open architecture should allow it to scale to even the largest installations."
Additional enhancements to GroundWork Monitor Enterprise 6.7 include:
