Porticor's Virtual Private Data System delivers cloud encryption with 1-click deployment available From the AWS Marketplace
TEL AVIV, Israel, July 26 — Porticor, a leading cloud data security company delivering a cloud-based data encryption solution, today announced that it is now a member of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network and AWS Marketplace, where the Porticor Virtual Private Data (Porticor VPD) system is available to AWS customers with a click of a button.
The Porticor VPD system is a solution combining data encryption with patented split-key management technology to protect critical data in public, private and hybrid cloud environments. Unlike traditional data encryption solutions, which are complicated and expensive to deploy and manage, Porticor's split-key management system is offered as a cloud data protection service which ensures customer encryption keys are never exposed.
Now as a member of the AWS Partner Network, Porticor's virtual appliance is installed and configured in minutes inside customers' AWS accounts with 1-Click Deployment from the Porticor AWS Marketplace page. No changes are required to the applications instances, or to the file or database formats, and Porticor encrypts most cloud data storage types -- including virtual disks, databases, files, S3 distributed storage and more -- using strong encryption algorithms.
