Canadian software firm's private PaaS technology is trusted to enhance Citrix networking and virtualization solutions
VANCOUVER, BC, June 14 – ActiveState, whose software enables developers and enterprises to innovate from code to cloud, today announced that Stackato, the application platform for creating a private PaaS, has been verified as Citrix Ready.
The Citrix Ready program helps customers identify third-party solutions that are recommended to enhance virtualization, networking and cloud computing solutions from Citrix Systems, Inc. Stackato completed a rigorous verification process to ensure compatibility with Citrix CloudPlatform, powered by Apache CloudStack, providing confidence in joint solution compatibility.
"As a member of the Citrix Ready program, ActiveState can offer customers intelligent solutions that combine the best features of Stackato running on Citrix CloudPlatform infrastructure," said ActiveState CEO Bart Copeland. Customers can be confident that Stackato has successfully passed a series of tests established by Citrix, and can be trusted to work effectively with CloudPlatform in order to provide secure, efficient, and cost-effective private PaaS.
Stackato — now generally available in version 1.2 — makes it easy to develop, deploy, migrate, scale, manage, and monitor applications in the cloud. With Stackato, developers can simulate a production environment on a local machine, code, test, and then launch an application to any cloud. And Enterprise IT can achieve new levels of data security, reduce time to market, save money, ensure compliance, and gain greater control over the cloud. Its recent update includes support for persistent file systems, user group administration, and an advanced app store framework.
