Software enables self-service orchestration of cloud services
FALLS CHURCH, Va., May 24 — CSC today announced that it is deploying Cisco's Intelligent Automation for Cloud solution to automate the delivery and management of cloud services to clients. CSC identified the Cisco solution as a vital component to support the company's cloud services business and by utilizing the software can automate the complex processes involved in cloud service delivery.
CSC is working with alliance partners like Cisco to provide an automation and management layer for CSC's off-premises and on-premises cloud models. By leveraging Cisco Intelligent Automation for Cloud, CSC is able to provide a self-service portal and service catalog that allow clients to quickly and easily order cloud infrastructure services online – with on-demand provisioning, a workflow engine to automate tasks associated with orchestration and pay-per-use tracking.

CSC's infrastructure includes VCE's Vblock platform as a preferred infrastructure stack for cloud services, comprising Cisco (UCS) blade servers, Cisco networking components, EMC storage systems and VMware virtualization technology.
