Customers now have access to leading Search-as-a-Service and cloud database providers
PORTLAND, Ore., May 16 — AppFog, the leading cloud-based platform-as-a-service (PaaS), today announced two additional third-party service providers to its growing add-on program, Searchify and Xeround. With this most recent addition, the budding add-on program will grow to 10 partners offering their services to bolster AppFog capabilities, including ClearDB, CloudMailin, Blitz.io, Iron.io, New Relic, MongoLab, MailGun, and MongoHQ.
"As we continue to grow our ecosystem, it's great to bring on new partners like Searchify and Xeround, which helps us further our goal of delivering the best, most comprehensive ecosystem for our developers," said Lucas Carlson, founder and CEO of AppFog. "These two companies are integral for development teams because they keep numerous business' applications and sites running smoothly. With Searchify and Xeround, our users now have an even richer environment to work within."
The add-on program, which was launched in December 2011, brings together nearly a dozen partner providers offered by the AppFog ecosystem platform. With the growing ecosystem, it makes it easy for developers to pick and choose third party service providers to help build and manage highly reliable and scalable applications through the intuitive interface. AppFog has received an overwhelming response from customers thus far, and the company plans to continue expanding the partner ecosystem throughout the year to meet the needs of its users.
"Searchify fits in nicely with AppFog's entrepreneur enabler vision," said Chris Lamprecht, founder of Searchify. "Whether it's a small side-project, or searching through millions of documents a hundred times per second, with AppFog and Searchify, it's easy to get an awesome search application up and running quickly."
"Xeround Cloud Database offered as an add-on for PHP Fog showcases our traction and the increasing demand for developing MySQL apps on multiple cloud platforms," said Razi Sharir, CEO of Xeround. "Now even more developers can develop in the cloud using their chosen platform and enjoy the no-downtime guarantee and true elasticity of Xeround's zero-management database service."
