ChinaCache Speaks at the China-US Cloud Computing Forum

BEIJING, Apr 23 — ChinaCache International Holdings Ltd., ("ChinaCache" or the "Company"), a leading total solutions provider of internet content and application delivery services in China, announced today that Dr. Ken Zhang, its CTO, presented at the China-U.S. Cloud Computing Forum in Beijing.

This forum brought together the world's market leaders in cloud computing to share their views on market opportunities for this nascent industry in China. Dr. Zhang described the ways ChinaCache is using its proprietary Content-Aware Network Service to provide a secure and intelligent content delivery system to the cloud while monitoring the status of the entire internet network in China. "Because of our dominant market position in China that creates a positive network effect, we will be able to extend the reach of China's cloud infrastructure, reducing its complexities and providing a better user experience," Dr. Zhang commented after the conference. "Moreover, our self-provisioning CDN service, Webluker, will enable small and medium enterprises that represent a huge untapped market opportunity to share in the benefits that our scale brings to this market."

Along with ChinaCache, which was the only content delivery network (CDN) provider invited to speak, Oracle, Microsoft,, China Unicom, China Telecom, and China Mobile also presented at this conference organized by the U.S. Department of Commerce and China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology ("MIIT"). Other notable companies that spoke at the conference included Cisco, AMD, Huawei, ZTE, Tencent and Shanda.

China's cloud computing market is of strategic importance to both the Chinese and U.S. governments. In 2010, China's government designated cloud computing as one of the seven "Strategic Emerging Industries" for the 12th Five Year Plan (2011-2015). China's heavy investment into this sector also represents business opportunities for US firms. A couple notable U.S. representatives included Peter Perez, the Department of Commerce's Deputy Assistant Secretary for Manufacturing and Dawn Leaf, Senior Executive for Cloud Computing from the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Representatives from the Chinese government included those from the States' Communication Development Division, Planning Division, Science and Technology Division, and Software Division, including Chen Jiachun, Deputy Director from Department of Telecommunications Development, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

"We are very excited to be able to present at such a high-level event that was organized by the U.S. and Chinese governments and that included the world's market leaders in cloud computing," commented Mr. Song Wang, the founder, chairman and CEO of ChinaCache. "As a market leader and total solutions provider of internet content delivery services in China, we continually strive to be among the vanguard in order to better serve the market and maintain our competitive advantages."
