StrataScale Appoints James Fanella as President

SACRAMENTO, Calif., March 28 — StrataScale, Inc., a premier provider of fast, easy and affordable cloud and hybrid hosting services, today announced that it has hired industry veteran James A. Fanella as president, to provide additional leadership for the rapidly growing Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) company. Fanella will report to StrataScale co-founder Yatish Mishra, who continues as chief executive officer.

"We're pleased to be adding a seasoned executive of Jim Fanella's caliber to StrataScale's management team," said Mishra. "His extensive experience in strategic planning, sales, services delivery and executive management, along with his strong understanding of the cloud services market, prepares him to make an immediate contribution to our company."

Prior to joining StrataScale, Fanella served in key executive roles spanning over 25 years, including senior vice president of Yahoo!, where he managed over 20 percent of the company's global enterprise revenues. He also served as senior vice president of strategic planning and alliances for Navisite, vice president of strategic alliances for Sun Microsystems, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Computer Network Technologies and managing principal for Unisys' financial services consulting practice. Fanella holds a Bachelor of Marketing degree with high honors from Western Illinois University.

"I'm excited by the growth potential for StrataScale and the market opportunities ahead for IaaS, managed services hosting and cloud services," said Fanella. "Our fast-growing sales and customer base confirm that there is a significant demand for StrataScale's flexible, on-demand computing and storage infrastructure, which allows users to eliminate the need to purchase, install and maintain their own equipment."
