Expanded IaaS offering to support complex enterprise needs, enable full compliance management
PLANO, Texas, Feb 29 — Layered Technologies, Inc. (Layered Tech), a leading global provider of compliant hosting, managed dedicated hosting and cloud computing services, is adding VMware vCloud Powered services to its existing cloud portfolio to provide enterprises with the advanced functionality they need to easily operate within complex cloud environments. The next generation of Layered Tech's Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offering includes full compliance management, additional scalability and a more dynamic interface that streamlines enterprise interaction with Layered Tech's compliant, secure and production-ready clouds.
"We are expanding Layered Tech's cloud capabilities to include vCloud Powered services and a next-generation user portal," said Kevin Van Mondfrans, vice president of product management for Layered Tech. "Layered Tech is leveraging its expertise in delivering complex web application environments and PCI- and HIPAA-compliant cloud hosting services to build next-generation cloud services, which will offer a more robust user experience and enable organizations to rapidly adapt their cloud environments to meet unique business needs."
With Layered Tech's next-generation cloud platform, customers can manage their cloud experience in unprecedented ways while benefiting from the compliance and security expertise for which Layered Tech is known. Unlike other providers who shift compliance management and oversight to their customers, Layered Tech handles the PCI-DSS and HIPAA IT controls that affect compliance, freeing customers to focus on their core business rather than complex data security tasks. In addition, Layered Tech recently added Compliance Guaranteed to its service-level agreement (SLA) so that all Layered Tech compliance services are guaranteed to pass 100 percent of every regulatory audit or assessment.
"Layered Tech is furthering its commitment to leveraging the best technology, including VMware vCloud Powered services, so we can continue providing the most agile and compliant cloud to our customers, as well as guarantee compliance," said Brad Hokamp, president of Layered Tech. "As Layered Tech evolves its cloud computing services, our dedication to delivering secure and compliant enterprise-level IT infrastructure solutions will remain central to our offerings."
