Webinars the week of December 5th offer IT professionals guidelines for building a hybrid PaaS and best practices for implementing an in-house private cloud using WSO2 Stratos
PALO ALTO, Calif., Nov. 29 — Cloud computing provides enterprises great opportunities for enabling agility while reducing costs. However, there is no one-size-fits-all cloud deployment model for enterprises. Many organizations choose to implement a private cloud or host their own platform-as-a-service (PaaS) in order to maximize control over their data and services. Others seek to deploy hybrid environments that bridge their private clouds with popular software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications running on a public cloud, such as Salesforce.com and Google Apps.
The week of December 6, 2011, WSO2 will present two technical webinars to provide IT professionals with best practices for implementing private cloud and hybrid PaaS environments.
December 6: Building a Hybrid PaaS
This webinar is targeted at organizations attempting to connect and span solutions across private and public cloud environments. WSO2 Vice President of Technology Evangelism Chris Haddad will examine various hybrid cloud use cases to showcase how interoperability, federation, service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles, and infrastructure services are required to bridge cloud environments. Additionally, Chris will demonstrate how the award-winning WSO2 Stratos cloud middleware platform provides enterprise architects and IT developers an optimal foundation to deliver necessary hybrid cloud services.
The one-hour webinar is being held on Tuesday, December 6 from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. PST. For more information, visit wso2.org/library/webinars/2011/12/building-a-hybrid-platform-as-a-service.
December 8: Setting Up an In-house Private Cloud
This session is designed for enterprises that want to take advantage of cloud computing but are required by security or business policies to store information in their data centers. WSO2 Associate Technical Lead Chintana Wilamuna will explore best practices for setting up a private cloud environment within an enterprise data center. Additionally, Chintana will highlight how the WSO2 Stratos cloud middleware platform provides enterprise architects and IT developers the necessary resources to start developing applications.
The one-hour technical webinar is being held twice on Thursday, December 8: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. PST for the Americas and 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. GMT for Europe and Asia-Pacific. For more information, visit wso2.org/library/webinars/2011/12/setting-inhouse-private-cloud.
