SEATTLE, WA and FOSTER CITY, CA., Apr 26, 2011 -- Hubspan today announced a new solution that combines its business-to-business (B2B) cloud integration platform with the NetSuite SuiteCloud Computing Platform. Hubspan's integration software lets companies extend cloud-based business processes to suppliers, buyers and other extended enterprise partners. By leveraging NetSuite's SuiteCloud development platform, the combined Hubspan-NetSuite solution can reduce the cost of network hardware and custom programming, and help speed and simplify purchase order and invoice exchanges, price confirmations, product availability queries and other time-critical processes.
"There is a strong trend of companies moving critical procurement, financials and other operations to the cloud, where they gain benefits of cost and performance," says Trisha Gross, Hubspan's president and CEO. "The integration of Hubspan and NetSuite takes this trend a step further, by extending cloud-based business processes to multi-enterprise business communities."
Hubspan's cloud platform includes a core business process integration engine plus cloud connectors that extend any ERP application or back-end system across the B2B cloud, supporting a broad range of vendor-specific file formats or protocols. To the user, all transactions appear as business processes that operate seamlessly across multiple enterprises.
Working with NetSuite
The integrated solution consists of five packaged solutions that extend NetSuite's rich business functionality to customers, suppliers, service providers and more:
* PunchOut Connector for NetSuite allows buyers access to a supplier's online catalog or eStore via the "punchout" process, handling a direct connection between a buyer's procurement system and the eCommerce site;
* Purchase Order Connector for NetSuite lets buyers and suppliers exchange electronic purchase order information, such as Purchase Order, PO acknowledgments, PO Change, PO Change Response and Order Status;
* Invoice Connector for NetSuite lets buyers and suppliers exchange electronic invoices and related messages, such as invoice, invoice acknowledgement, remittances, product availability and advance shipping notice (ASN);
* Price and Availability Call for NetSuite lets buyers access up-to-date pricing and availability information directly from online catalogs, supporting the communication protocols and data formats specified by each company in the process;
* File Transfer Connector for NetSuite facilitates the seamless movement of data, files and information from one company/system to another with end-to-end security, visibility and monitoring.
By using these packages, NetSuite customers can look forward to advantages such as reduced costs and improved process efficiencies, increased customer retention and revenues, and improved controls over purchase approvals. Like NetSuite, Hubspan solutions are delivered as a cost-effective monthly subscription, so NetSuite customers can start with one partner connection or several and grow as business needs require.
"This integration solution is a natural fit for NetSuite customers," says Guido Haarmans, vice president Developer Programs at NetSuite. "Business processes appear and behave like they do with NetSuite, with analytics and KPIs showing up in the dashboard. The difference is that now the NetSuite user is operating beyond the confines of the enterprise, out to suppliers and customers, and not having to worry about translating files or maintaining security."
