CUPERTINO, Calif., November 12, 2010 -- ScaleMP, a leading provider of virtualization solutions for high-end computing, today announced its participation in the 2010 International Conference for High Performance Computing Networking, Storage and Analysis (SC10) taking place November 15-18, 2010, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. ScaleMP will be exhibiting in booth 3239, demonstrating its recently released vSMP Foundation 3.5 software-based solution, which aggregates the power of multiple commodity x86 servers into one larger CPU and memory-virtual SMP.
ScaleMP founder and CEO Shai Fultheim will also be presenting a pre-show customer session at HP-CAST 15 Worldwide User Group Conference at the JW Marriott Hotel, Saturday, November 13 from 8-10 am. The focus will be real-life use cases of virtual SMP, hosting vSMP Foundation customers Southern Methodist University and 454-Roche.
ScaleMP's breakthrough approach provides customers in industries like energy, higher-education and research, life sciences, manufacturing and finance with the computational horsepower required for the most demanding applications and workloads, while dramatically lowering high-end computing costs by as much as 80 percent.
"Our customers have already benefited from vSMP Foundation's software-based solution as an alternative to proprietary SMP systems," said Fultheim. "We look forward to showing SC10 attendees how they can apply our various offerings for SMP, cluster and cloud to reduce OPEX and CAPEX, streamline management and gain the ability to 'pay as you grow.' "
During SC10, ScaleMP will be showcasing its vSMP Foundation product line in the company's partner booths:
About vSMP Foundation
vSMP Foundation aggregates multiple industry-standard off-the-shelf x86 servers into one single virtual high-end system. vSMP Foundation provides customers with an alternative to traditional expensive symmetrical multiprocessing (SMP) systems and also offers simplified clustering infrastructure with a single operating system. It supports aggregation of up to 128 servers into a single virtual SMP system, providing customers with:
ScaleMP is the leader in virtualization for high-end computing, providing maximum performance and lower total cost of ownership (TCO). The innovative Versatile SMP (vSMP) architecture aggregates multiple x86 systems into a single virtual x86 system, delivering an industry-standard, high-end symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) computer. Using software to replace custom hardware and components, ScaleMP offers a new, revolutionary computing paradigm. For more information, call 408-342-0330 or visit www.ScaleMP.com.
