Xiotech Corp announced the availability of its implementation service for Oracle 10g Real Application Cluster (RAC), developed jointly with Oracle Corp and CIBER. The new service draws upon Xiotech's Magnitude 3D RAC Pack, to simplify and accelerate the process of implementing Oracle 10g RAC, ensuring database readiness in under 24 hours.
Engineered specifically for the small-to-medium enterprise (SME), this new service integrates Oracle best practices with the Magnitude 3D RAC Pack, a turnkey, factory-built infrastructure and a single point of support to ensure rapid implementations that dramatically reduce costs of deployment and ongoing management. The solution is built upon Linux and will be extended to Microsoft Windows environments in the near future. Oracle, Xiotech, a Certified Partner in the Oracle PartnerNetwork and CIBER, a Certified Advantage Partner, will market the solution through Oracle global sales and consulting and Xiotech and CIBER sales.
The Magnitude 3D RAC Pack is a fully integrated solution for the deployment of Oracle 10g RAC, including servers, database software and storage infrastructure. The combination of Oracle 10g RAC with Magnitude 3D's innovative clustering delivers a continually scalable and unbreakable storage, database, and operating infrastructure. Magnitude 3D RAC Pack takes full advantage of Magnitude 3D's unique dynamic provisioning technology to ensure that implementation time is cut from a minimum of four weeks to under 24 hours. Leveraging the simplicity of Magnitude 3D RAC Pack with Oracle 10g RAC also simplifies ongoing database and storage management, while delivering seamless, zero downtime scalability.
"The Xiotech, Oracle and CIBER bundle of solutions and services for Oracle 10g RAC implementations makes deployment faster, simpler and more affordable," said Mark Salser, senior vice president of Oracle's Technology Business Unit. "Magnitude 3D's dynamic provisioning technology ensures that organizations can be up and running with Oracle 10g in a matter of hours."
"Most organizations that strive to manage, maintain and support their existing systems, new projects and solutions put a considerable strain on their technical and financial resources," said Ed Burns, president of CIBER. "The ability to implement complex solutions such as Oracle 10g RAC within 24 hours reduces the effort on the part of the organization while allowing for better cost controls."
"Oracle 10g for Grid computing ensures that data is always secure and available," said Mike Stolz, Xiotech executive vice president of marketing. "Magnitude 3D RAC Pack, along with CIBER's expertise, helps SME's take full advantage of Oracle 10g RAC by giving them easy-to-use, scalable, clustered storage."
